Scholars of the Department have participated and presented the paper in an International Conference on "Marching Beyond the Libraries: Managerial Skills and Technological Competencies" organized by KIIT University (Deemed), Bhubaneshwar on 16th - 17th November, 2018. They successfully presented the their paper on the topics "ICT and Social Media Literacy Skills among PG Students of Social Sciences of Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi: An Evaluation" and "Perceptions and Use of E-Resources by Research Scholars of Mizoram University, Aizawl: An Evaluative Study" respectively.

Department congrats to both the research scholars for their successful participation and presentation in the International Conference.

Successful Participation in PLANNER -2018 by Sanjay Kumar Maurya & Dr. Vanlalneia

Dear All,

This is to inform you that Mr. Sanjay Kumar Maurya, Ph. D. Scholar and Dr. Vanlalneia, STA of the Department have participated and presented their paper in 11th PLANNER - 2018 on "Rejuvenate Academic Library as a Social Hub" at Tripura University, Agartala during 15th - 17th November, 2018. They successfully presented the their paper on the topics "Evaluating Online Visibility of Library and Information Science Academia in Central Universities of North-East India: A Scientometric Study based on Google Scholar" and "Usage of E-Resources by the Research Scholars in Mizoram University" respectively.

Odd Semester Examination Schedule - December, 2018

This is to inform you that Department has finalized the Examination Schedule for December 2018 (Odd Semester) for the students of MLIS 1st semester, 3rd semester, and Ph.D./ M.Phil. Course-work. The students are advised to see the dates of their examinations and starts preparation accordingly.

UGC-NET Coaching for Department Students

Dear All,

This is to inform you all that Department is going to conduct 15 days coaching classes for UGC-NET at the Department premises. All the 3rd semester students of MLIS, passed out MLIS students, M. Phil. Students, and Ph. D. students of Department are invited to join the coaching program. This is an initiation from the Department to start UGC-NET coaching for MLIS students. The program will be started from 25th October, 2018 to 16th November, 2018. The tentative schedule of the coaching program is attached herewith:

Department Alumni Registration

Dear All,

This is to inform you that Department has started the updation and maintenance of Alumni Register for the future use. It is advised the alumni of the Department to update their basic records in the Alumni Register. Those students who passed out BLIS, MLIS, M. Phil. and Ph.D. programs from the Department should update their records. For the purpose, Alumni may contact to DLIS MZU Alumni Co-ordinator, Dr. Akhandanand Shukla in this regard. The format of the Alumni Register is given here. You may copy the format in MS-Word and send the electronic copy to the Co-ordinator through email on the kohamzu@gmail.com.
